Coffee in hand, I make my way to the porch swing. As I open the door, I feel a cool breeze against my skin, and my senses come alive. The air is crisp and fresh. Dew is glistening as the sun rays peek over the trees ahead. The world around me is still and quiet,… Continue reading Worry is Wasteful
Time Heals Nothing
I typically know what the day will hold. For the most part, there is a routine to follow. Methodically I get up at 4:30 am to make my husband’s lunch for work. Around 6, I get the kids up and ready for school. I make my bed and get dressed. Wash dishes that may have found their way to the sink from the previous evening. Make my morning coffee…
…and That Makes It Still Hurt
When my youngest son got home from school this week, he handed me his bookbag, walked inside, and made the same request he does every day after school…“Can I have a snack?” Nothing unusual; it was the normal routine. I checked his bookbag for any homework or notes from teachers. None were there. I put… Continue reading …and That Makes It Still Hurt
“God Was There, Momma”
I love Saturdays. They usually start quietly with stillness in the air. No alarm clocks demanding we wake up early. No rushing my kiddos out the door to start their day at school. I can leisurely take my time with what I will. It’s peaceful. I told my daughter Friday last week that we might… Continue reading “God Was There, Momma”
Everything went white; I couldn’t see.

And as it turns out I wasn’t expecting what happened next either.
Sometimes I Just Don’t Know

It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining and a cool, spring breeze was blowing. We sat outside soaking up the… Continue reading Sometimes I Just Don’t Know
Walk Into It
There is something about stepping into the unknown that is nauseating. I find myself getting queasy and questioning every move. I look back and wonder what in the world am I doing. Whose idea was this anyway? Was it just me? Did I really hear God’s voice? Heart pounding and all I keep moving forward…… Continue reading Walk Into It
Light to Find the Way
Imagine this with me, if you will. There are several people all trapped in pitch darkness, trying to find their way out. No one planned for this to come upon them and they’re not familiar with where they are. Some of them begin bumping in to one another while trying to feel their way out…only… Continue reading Light to Find the Way
And So, It Begins.
Well...this isn't technically the beginning but it's where we will start. I'm looking forward to sharing my life, heart, and journey through Christ with those who wish to take part. Many paths and winding roads have led me here and I'm sure there are many ahead. Forking paths that will require me to choose…left or… Continue reading And So, It Begins.
